Whether your skin is looking less healthy or you simply want to give it a boost, masks are a great way to accomplish this. I have tried countless to find the ones that work best for my specific skin type (normal with combination skin in my t-zone). The following masks are some of the best on the market and will leave your skin feeling clean, refreshed and revitalized, no matter your skin type. When choosing a mask, pay attention to what skin type it is best for. Some masks contain ingredients that aren’t the best for sensitive skin and could cause a negative reaction.
Blemished Skin Mask
The first skin mask is a brand new product by Pevonia.
The Blemished Skin Mask is great for weekly use as it can be used 1-2 times a week. This mask gets deep into your pores and give them a deep cleaning, while leaving your skin feeling calm and revitalized. This deep clean works great for those with acne-prone skin or oily skin types. By cleaning out your pores, it will gradually diminish current blemishes and prevent future breakouts from occurring. The bacteria causing your acne will be eliminated with the Blemished Skin Mask. Use it 1-2 times a week by applying it to a clean face and leaving it on for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water or wipe off with a wet washcloth.
Multi-Vitamin Power Recovery Masque
Next, try a mask product from Dermalogica. The Multi-Vitamin Power Recovery Masque includes antioxidant vitamins to repair your skin, promote tissue regeneration and help improve the overall appearance of your skin. The product doesn’t have any color or fragrance so it is gentle enough even for sensitive skin. Apply the mask to your face, leaving on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse the mask with cool or warm water and repeat about once a week.
Sebum Clearing Masque
Another great mask from Dermalogica is the Sebum Clearing Masque. This mask is made with Bentonite clay and Kaolin and provides a very deep clean. Once you remove the mask, your skin will feel refreshed, cool and refined. Any impurities in your skin will be removed along with the mask and it also helps to prevent future breakouts. After cleansing your face, apply the Sebum Clearing Masque and leave it on your face for 10 minutes. Be careful to avoid your eyes and rinse off with warm water. You can use the mask up to 3 times a week. Keep in mind the Sebum Clearing Masque also includes Salicylic Acid, which can be harsh on sensitive skin. Discontinue use if it is causing redness, burning or an allergic reaction.
Skin Refining Masque
Finally, try the Skin Refining Masque from Dermalogica. The texture, softness and appearance of your skin will be improved immediately after using this mask. Like the others, the Skin Refining Masque can be used 1-2 times a week and you should stop using it if it causes redness or burning. Apply the mask to your clean skin and leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and follow with a gentle moisturizer.
